They are rather large and seem to be almost under the skin, though occasionally they are above it. Sometimes they are tender to the touch, but not always. What could I do to make them less obvious or (preferably) go away?Instead of getting regular pimples I get large red bumps. How do I get rid of them?
It sounds like you have dry skin.Try to put Clinique facial lotion everyday and the redness will go down.If it is just bumps, then go to a dermatologist.GOOD LUCK!Instead of getting regular pimples I get large red bumps. How do I get rid of them?
Salysilic Acid spot treatment. and a hot compressor..it will bring it out to a head.
Ooh, I hate those and always seem to get a couple right before my period every month. You should consider getting the ZENO device. I am serious--that thing works awesome. It kills bacteria in pimples with heat. It has never failed for me--pimples heal much quicker when I use it. They sell it now at places like Walgreens, but also beauty stores like Sephora and Ulta have it too.
They could be an allergic reaction to some skin care product or food you're eating... if you can, abstain from all make up, cleansers and whatever else you use on your skin for a few days and see if it improves. If it does, switch to a really gentle hypoallergenic and non-comedegenic skin-care regimen. Cetaphil gentle cleanser is very gentle on skin, and I think they have a moisturizer or lotion that's gentle too. Aveeno is good for sensitive skin as well. If allergies don't seem to be the problem, there are a lot of different things that could be wrong. If your skin is very dry, that can cause bumps that look like acne. I get them on my forehead when I don't use enough moisturizer, even though I have rather oily skin. If they're very large and occur on your cheeks or all over your face, see a dermatologist. They could be cystic acne, which can be very serious. Toothpaste won't help with acne, but if they're pimples, heat will bring them to the surface. Don't touch your face at all without washing your hands with soap first. Wash your face after showering, to remove all the traces of conditioner from your face. Good luck! Skin can be a pain sometimes, but eventually you'll find a routine that works for you.
put some toothpaste around and on the pimp it shrinks the zit and then if you use a hot cloth and compress it on it it shoudl clear in a few days with repeated treatment.
