Does blackhead scrub work for regular pimples?

I recently bought Clean and Clear blackhead clearing scrub. It has salicylic acid. will it help get rid of normal pimples too?Does blackhead scrub work for regular pimples?
Hey, salicylic acid generally helps to exfoliate within the pore to stop them getting clogged (resulting in black heads and white heads) and if they don't get clogged in the first place then bacteria is less likely to cause them to get inflamed resulting in pimples. But its more effective in a lotion that stays on your skin rather than a scrub that you wash off. What is also really good for pimples (rather than blackheads) is a topical lotion containing Benzoyl peroxide. Salicylic acid will help, but be careful of over-exfoliation. When you scrub your face too hard or too often, you're actually creating tears in the skin, which spreads the bacteria from your pimples into the tears you just created and makes the breakout worse. If you must exfoliate daily, resist the urge to scrub too hard or you risk spreading the infection.
I used the exact same product, i found it worked wonders for my spots not so much the blackheads around my nose though.... but try not to use it every single day cause i found it lost its edge.then i only use it at night the first night, then the night after i would clean my face and put any white based toothpaste on my spots. then repeat that for a few weeks. now im almost spot free......... But if you have bad blackheads. before you go to bed cut a fresh lemon in half and apply that to your face (works great)

Well no but it can help to prevent them because the face wash is going to help keep your face clear of oils that cause them to develop.
