How often should I wash my face to get rid of these pimples?

I have pimples on my forehead and around my mouth. I have a scrub and a face wash (St. Ives). How often should I clean my face to get rid of this mess and get my flat face back? Also, scrub and then wash or wash and then scrub? THANKS!How often should I wash my face to get rid of these pimples?
Wash two times a day. Realize, though that pimples are like any other sore. They are merely infected pores. Your skin was created so magnificently that it swells with pus to rid the skin of dirt, oil and other things that aren't suppose to be INSIDE your body. You have to treat your zits like any other ';boo-boo'; or ';owie';. First, clean the ';wound'; GENTLY. ONLY SCRUB if you can literally see the dirt under your skin. Otherwise a gentle wash with warm soapy water is best. Do not overwash all the oil from your face. It may NOT be the culprit. If you scrub your skin DRY all the time and use alcohol based cleansers your skin WILL TRY to produce MORE oil. The oil DOES protect your skin and helps it to heal.

Try this: Wash with warm super-sudsy water, then ';treat'; your zits with a simple triple-antibiotic ointment dabbed on each pimple EVERY night. Use a Q-tip. If there are any that still contain pus, make an effort to get the pus out - wrap your finger in t.p. and press. If that doesn't work - don't pick- you will spread the infection. Instead, before you go to sleep, use the ointment and a band-aid. It will stay moist and soften the area so the pus can seep out while you sleep. Like any sore, it will take a few days to completely heal without scarring. You CAN OCCASIONALLY use hydrogen peroxide as a cleanser, but it takes a lot of the natural emolients from your skin and in effect ';kills'; it. You don't really want dead-skin on your face, so use it sparingly. But, if you have zits elsewhere (back chest or arms) you can use hydrogen peroxide IF you don't mind those areas ';toughening up'; a bit. But, if you want smooth skin, stick only to the warm suds. If you notice your skin getting dried out and feeling ';tight';, add a few drops of olive oil (DROPS!) to your sudsy wash (fill a bowl full of warm suds and your St. Ives wash with the tiniest bit of oil) Also, Guard your face whenever you spray hairspray or even deodorant.

You don't need any ';scrubbing'; unless your skin seems to be dry or flaky, then use the St. Ives scrub, rubbing GENTLY. I even use a bit of dandruff shampoo if I get dry between the eyes. How often should I wash my face to get rid of these pimples?
Wash your face in the morning and at night before going to bed. Washing it constantly throughout the day can cause more acne-related problems so I would suggest no more than 2 times a day. It may take a while for the acne to go away so do not expect immediate results. If after 3 weeks your skin condition isn't improving I suggest changing the brand of face wash or seeing a dermatologist.

If you want to use a scrub of some sort, you should scrub first then wash. Also, use a face moisturizer after washing to prevent your skin from drying out.
Over washing you skin ..can dry it out and make it worse.

I would say in the morning and before bed. You also need a good skincare program that is made with botanical oils...not any type of mineral oil. Mineral oils sit on the skin and make it feel soft...but will clog the pores.

Drink lots of water or drinks that Crystal light that contain lots of water.

Take a supplement to nourish you from the inside out.

So

Take a vitamin

Use a Wash, Toner, and Lotion

Drinks lots of water

Also I would suggest sitting in the sun for just about 10 mins a day. It will give you natural vitamin D and help to naturally dry out the oil. Be careful..not to long..just enough to make you feel good and not really give you color.

Best of luck!

hey.. ! just washing ur face won't help .. and don't wash too often.. that isn't too good for ur skin!

I've had pretty great skin,overall..but the thing I do ..and u could do... drink a lot of water! not only is it great for your body, it's also amazing for your skin, it clears the toxins right out! Wash your face with the face wash in the morning , before you go out (to work/school) , and when you come back

Also, if you use a soap based face wash, be sure to use a moisturizer after you're done, because while cleaning the skin, especially when acne removers are used, while it removes the oil from your face(which is what causes acne!) it also dehydrates it .. so use a light moisturizer, helps your skin loads.

Cut down,if possible, on your intake of oily food, it helps.

Also, try the Clearasil pimple removal cream..i put a bit over my pimples and they all disappeared after some time! I also used the Johnson and Johnson's Clean and Clear face wash..that helps a lot, and it doesn't dry out skin too much, you might want to try it!

Also, many salons(if you want to try this) offer face cleansing and pore cleansing offers.. maybe you could try those out!

Be sure to keep your skin protected when traveling outdoors, because when dirt collects in the pores of your skin, it causes acne ! use a protective sunscreen or moisturiser when you go out.. it'll help your skin.

When you use the scrub, or a face wash.. do it in a circular motion on each area of your face..but don't scrub too hard, because the scrubs are abrasive and can exfoliate too much at times!

:-)

take care!
2 times a day over washing can cause acne so 2 times a day is best also make sure not to touch your face and to change or wash your washcloth everyday

Wash when you get up in the morning and before you go to sleep at night. I would get a 3 step acne medication. Acnefree from walmart works or proactive. It will keep the acne gone.
washing your face alot wont make acne go away! itmight help but it wont clear it completely
