I just answered practically the same question a minute ago, so I'm going to copy and paste the answer I put there on here.
1. Wash your face morning and night with a cleanser that it suitable for your skin
2. Use an alcohol-free toner at night
3. Dab on acne medication on specific areas of your skin at night
4. Use a facial scrub twice a week to slather off dead skin accumulated over the week
5. Use pore strips once a month
6. ALWAYS remove makeup with a makeup remover because face wash will not get everything off
If you have really bad acne, then I suggest you go and get a facial. There, not only will they dig into your pores and get it really, really clean, but she will also recommend remedies for your specific skin type.
Good luck. =]
don't use alchool on your face...i tried that once and i broke out! i found that washing your face with a facecloth work way better than with only your fingers...
Toners are not good for me, just wash with a good face wash and maybe exfoliate twice a week with something like St-Ives apricot scrub, which is good and not pricey...
other than that, wash twice a day, and watch your hands...don't put them in your face like i do...if so then wash your hands a lot!
if your taking care of your skin topically and there's no improvement, than obviously the problem is coming from within, internally. i suggest you go to a dermatologist and get prescribed an oral antibiotic. plus, you might want to call a spa/salon and get yourself a good acne facial. practically all spas have them. the spa technician will clean out all the clogged pores and see if you can talk with her or him to be placed a skin care regime. it takes a lot of time, patience, and dedication, but it's your skin, you'll have it with you for a very long time. did you know that the skin is the largest organ of the body? it protects all your vital organs and keeps your body warm/protected. hence, the hair on your skin, too. cleaning your face with alcohol is terrible. alcohol is very drying to the face. and if you have acne, you probably have somewhat of a sensitive skin type. don't use anymore alcohol, opt for alcohol-free, oil-free, non-comedegenic/dermatologist tested products. neutrogena, clean %26amp; clear, all good products. however, the skin care products at a spa are definitley better. they might be a bit more expensive, but it's definitley worth it! it's your skin!
WASH your face EVERY day! NIGHT %26amp; DAY
